Prepare the bike: the ride of Politecnico is back!
Have you checked your helmet and pumped up your tires? The fourth edition of the Politecnico di Milano’s cycling race is coming, continuing its journey through the University’s Regional Campuses!
We’ll be waiting for you in Piacenza on October 5th with two truly scenic routes that pass through the most picturesque spots in the city and surrounding area, showcasing the beautiful landscapes of the Piacenza region.The 25-30* km route is also suitable for the youngest PolimiRiders — easy and fun, perfect for enjoying a lovely day in good company and in total relaxation.
The 76 km route, on the other hand, is designed for cycling enthusiasts who love long challenges. It unfolds over a fascinating and demanding circuit that takes you through some of the most beautiful areas of the Colli Piacentini, with historic villages and iconic climbs. This route is ideal for experienced cyclists, both in the competitive and non-competitive versions, featuring four main climbs, rolling terrain, and a final flat section back to Piacenza.

The non-competitive short 25-30 km PolimiRide is open to everyone! Participate with your friends and family: the route is flat and suitable for all levels of preparation, even for the youngest, and it crosses the city of Piacenza, along the coast of Po river.

Long ROUTE
Competitive and non competitive race
The 76 km PolimiRide route is a spectacular and diverse course, with both the start and finish in Piacenza, designed for well-trained cyclists and road-racing enthusiasts. The 76 km route winds through the natural beauty of the Trebbia Valley and the Piacenza hills, alternating fast, flowing stretches with challenging and technical climbs in the hills.
To participate in the 76 km non-competitive race, you must have a medical certificate for non-competitive sports activities valid on the day of the event and purchase the daily F.C.I. insurance coverage at registration for €10, or be an FCI-licensed cyclist (cicloturista category). Minimum age: 14 years.
The 76 km competitive race is open to:
- all FCI members belonging to cat. JMT/ELMT/M1/M2/M3/M4/M5/M6/M7/M8/M9/M10 – JWS/EWS/W1/W2/W3/W4/W5/W6/W7/W8/W9/W10
- all E.P.S. members with an organization card or with a Bike Card, together with the organization card and presentation of a medical certificate for competitive cycling
- foreign athletes with a UCI card with presentation of a medical certificate in English attesting to their fitness for a competitive cycling event;
- Italian and foreign non-members must request a daily FCI card from the organizing company for insurance coverage at the cost of the participant, with presentation, in Italian or English for foreigners, of the specific competitive medical certificate for cycling.
It should be noted that the minimum age to participate in the 76 km competitive race is 17 years old as per the FCI Implementing Rules.
