Sport arrives in our Off Campuses: we wait for you on October 15th for a chess lesson, held by the Chess Association of Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the Ciresola Parents Association, and dedicated to primary school children. Where? In our Off Campus Nolo, inside the Municipal Market.
WHAT is an OFF CAMPUS?
Off Campus is an initiative promoted by the University with the aim of strengthening the presence of Politecnico in the city of Milan and the idea of a more responsible university, attentive to social challenges, open to the territories and communities. Politecnico promotes innovative teaching activities, responsible research and co-planning with local entities to implement interventions with a positive impact on the community; services to the territory and neighborhoods are also activated and a cultural and educational offer aimed at the local communities is promoted.
Today there are four active spaces in four different contexts: in the Nolo district, in the San Vittore prison, in the Cascina Nosedo, at the entrance to the Parco Agricolo Sud, and in the San Siro district.
Chess @ Off Campus Nolo
October 15
The Nolo Off Campus will be the host of the second of the 4 events of the "SPORT @OFF CAMPUS" series, in which Politecnico di Milano brings sports activities within these urban hubs. On Tuesday 15 October the space inside the covered Municipal Market of Nolo will host a fantastic chess lesson dedicated to primary school children. The lesson will be held by the president of the Chess Association of Politecnico di Milano and will include a theoretical introduction followed by a gaming session. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ciresola Parents Association.
LOCATION: Covered Municipal Market, viale Monza 54, 20127, Milan
SCHEDULE: the lesson will start at 5pm and end around 6.30pm
The event is free, registration is mandatory.
Bike Tour @ Cascina Nosedo
September 12
The Off Campus Cascina Nosedo will be the host of the first of the 4 events of the "SPORT @OFF CAMPUS" series, in which Politecnico di Milano brings sports activities within these urban hubs. On Thursday 12 September the renovated space of Cascina Nosedo will host us for an evocative bicycle tour to discover the surrounding area and local realities, with a simple, flat circular route suitable for everyone: we will cross the most beautiful parks in the area, stopping at points of interest such as the charming village of Chiaravalle. The tour will be held in Italian.
DEPARTURE: Meeting in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci at 4:00 pm or at the Off Campus Cascina Nosedo at 4:45 pm.
ARRIVAL: Return to Cascina Nosedo scheduled for 6 pm.
At the end of the tour there will be an aperitif.
It will be possible to return to Piazza Leonardo da Vinci together. The event is free and open to all, booking required!
